I truly believe that the United States has much more serious problems than most people realize. The problem is that most people aren't even at all concerned about their relationship with God, or have no knowledge at all of what serious condition this nation is in; not just California.

Now a days, with all these “online schools” offering PhD’s, does this mean that just anyone can call themselves a Doctor? Or attach Dr. to their names? For example, if I graduated from University of Phoenix (or any of those other quacky schools) with a PhD, could I now call myself Dr. Angela just by typing it up on a business card? I had a dog once,well sort of,when i lived in a rented house with my parents the owner had a mongrel,well a little bigger though,but i really liked dogs so i would generally feed him,play with him.but he had a really bad habit of barking at anything or anyone and showing as he was just about to bite,he was feared by everyone,the owner usually scolds it or sometimes (rarely) hits him.the dog became my best buddy,he would usually play only with me.after some months it became much closer to me.and less to its real master.and soon he wouldnt even budge when the owner calls him.but only me,i used to hold on to him whenever he starts barking at someone and pats him,and he would calm down and sometimes later he wouldnt bark at anyone when i am nearby!he died after a week we left the house.i guess u should show more love to them.

I can understand exactly where you are coming from. I am a white female and most of my family is extremely prejudice. I am not prejudice at all and have had alot of problems with my family for being so open minded. Well, the other week me adn my bestie were riding our horses down a road.... I wanted to take the shortcut through the woods out the pasture! Well I had my friend hole my horse while I opened the gate and I opened it from the wrong side and when I went to open the gate fell all the way and my horse got spooked and started to walk over it and their was cattle pannle on it and when she stepped she got bot of her front feet stuck in there! I'm really good when I'm around horses alot but my horse manged to get her hoof caught in the smallest one she could and I try getting it out and it would not move so I called a friend cuz he was close by and hes supper good with horses! so I screamed " JIm Mandy got her hoof caught HELP!" I started crying like a baby but then I got it out.! I was so happy then I lead her the rest of the way and my friend had to go the long way! lol:) but when I got back to the farm the first thing Jim did was check her hooves and she had one little scar! Thank God. :)

I suffer from severe lower front & back pain but no one knows what it is. Can some one shed some light please?

I have suffered from lower left pain for some years now. I was told by my OBGYN that it was most likely due to scar tissue from my past C-sections. It is at it's worse just before & during my menstruation. Last summer the pain started getting worse. I developed and was treated for a kidney infection. Within 2 weeks after treatment the pain came back. I was given a CT scan. They found a lesion on large intestine & sent me for a colonoscopy. The colonoscopy showed acute diverticulitis but they were not convinced that was the cause of pain. I then had an ultrasound which showed everything was perfect but an IVP & a Renal ultrasound a month later showed an enlarged uterus a couple of insignificant cysts, follicle which they say may be residue from past kidney infection and an indentation in my bladder. I had a laparoscopy done 2 weeks ago & was sent home without anyone speaking to me so I don't know the results. I have been resting since surgery & was feeling ok until my menstruation started. The pain is a 10 on the scale & goes from the lower left front to the lower left backside and the joint of left hip. It does not move, is consistent, lasts for days & feels like it's swollen & on fire. Does any suffer from similar symptoms? Is it possible I am suffering from more than 1 problem? What other tests can I do? Is there some out there who recognize these symptoms? Please help.

Searching for a spaceship based scifi tv movie that showed in the 90's?

The movie has a crew fighting against 5 enemy ships. cg graphics wasn't the best but decent qual. the protagonists' ship has 4 huge missiles two on each side. The enemy has laser turrets mounted on their ships. one of the fight scenes is in the tail of a comet as a way to hide (i think this is where legend of the rangers got their behind comet's tail idea from) and they were able to take out two enemy ships with one hit. Another stand out point was in the beginning of the movie one of the characters was explaining how their FTL works by the means of folding space to a point (this scene was at a party formal military party). it kinda resembles the old tv series above and beyond. I think that's about when this tv movie premiered. Even with an FTL drive it seems like the whole movie took place within the solar system. Anyone know of the title? I haven't been able to find it on wiki or google. There's gotta be some Scifi person out there who knows what i'm talking about.

Which ever of these wages is higher is the one that is in effect, but if the Federal minimum wage surp the state one that will result in an immediate increase in the state minimum wage. Now my question is what if you find a job that has a regualer schedule which is past 40 hour's in a week does that employer owe you overtime pay under the minimum wage law?. What if you work a schedule past 40 hours which for about 2 days? or even little days that, are still entitled to overtime pay?. I know that people that work in most of the job fields are entitled to overtime pay, which ones are not. What about tipped employees, are they entitled 50% an hours pay extra for every hour after 40?. Please help me on this one.

I was brought up Catholic and yet, not so much. My parents had me baptised but none of them really were active members of that church. Neither were the people that they chose to be my godparents. They had no problem getting me baptised or had any problems with the godparents not being active ones. Maybe it's different where you are but I would bring it up anyway. I do not practice Catholism now, but that was how it was for me back in the day, which was not horribly long ago (I'm 23). Hon, after 18 years of marriage, I am still no expert but it does sound like a case of the marital blues (at least on his part). Men get bored. They are very visually stimulated creatures of habit who will just turn off if they don't get enough visual cues from their partner. What you can do instead of verbal initiation is just entice him sweetly with a y outfit or a nice mage (that extends beyond just the shoulders and back), etc. See if that gets him going. If not, then consider that there may be external factors going on with him, and get him to see his doctor (he could have erectile dysfunction and be embarred to tell you) or his libido may be low. Either way, these things can be fixed. Marriage takes a lot of hard work but it is totally worth it. I know right now it probably feels like your stuck in limbo, but if you love each other enough you will learn to work whatever obstacles out for the best. I hope I've helped a bit...Good luck!

MPs, expenses, & mortgage payments?

hello., I have a genuine non-cynical question about the latest informaton on MPs' expenses. I genuinely do NOT understand why we, the taxpayers, pay MPs' mortgage payments on their second homes. Do they then keep their second homes, and the increasing value of those houses? So my understanding is; they have accommodation in their constituency, which (presumably) they pay for. Then they have a second address in London to enable them to visit the house of Commons regularly. Do they find the deposit? or does the taxpayer? We, the taxpayer, then subsidises them for the mortgage payment .... WHY? they then own this second house & can live in it, or sell it, at their choice. After we have paid for the property. I'm mystified. How on earth can this be justified or explainable?

Is there any test, to find hard water/soft water?

Actually you can tell if water is soft by feeling it when it is hot. If it is soft, it will feel oily on your skin. As well, any kind of soap rlathers better in soft water. If you have a coffee pot that needs to be cleaned alot, or you see rust stains or scale around the drains, then the water is hard. There are test strips that you can get from your local plumbing supply store that will allow you to check your water hardness levels, which is handy to make sure the water softener is operating correctly. Ok, so I just found out (thanks to YA) that I am 9 dpo. I took an early morning HPT test and there is a very very very slight line, I really would need to use a magnifying gl (which I don't have) to be sure, but if I hold it to the sun I think I can see something extremely faint on it. BUT I had taken a trigger shot which was giving me positive tests up until yesterday (faint but definitely a line there). I also took an opk test today and on that one there is no doubt it is a BFP. So, does the opk carry much weight? I can't wait to test again tomorrow. I was heartbroken after the HPT but now have some hope after the OPK. Does anyone have experience testing both types of tests for pg detection? I know the OPK only detect LH but still...

How about describing the feelings and thoughts going on with the dancer, as somewhat primary to the (secondary) dance steps? You don't want to get too technical with the dance steps, anyway, or you will have a Clancy Ballet book on your hands. Something like "Katie's pulse raced as she bounded down the pads, her arms fully extended, her feet tripping skyward at the last minute for a perfect unsupported cartwheel, then her body grinding to the rhythm -- upon uprighting -- much like she wanted to grind into Carter's perfectly-muscled..." etc. She then can spend some time thinking of him while the rest of her routine is going on, with those thoughts punctuated occasionally by moves, but not with those move descriptions filling up paragraphs worth of story. The human interest part is why people read, not to learn how to do a four-point pirouette followed by the splits.

I think I may be bipolar but I'm not sure?

I'm almost 15 and I was told about two years ago by one of my closest friends that he thought I might be bipolar and since then six of them have said so. I have a really high stress level, especially at home. My family has been on the brink of splitting up for almost three years now and my mom is stubbornly trying to fix it even though my dad is one of the biggest jack-donkeys I know.I sometimes seem to be so happy that people ask me to slow down when I talk so they can understand or they can't keep up with my topic changes and other times I'm so sad that I snap at the littlest things and I cry for no apparent reason. I usually need very little sleep but at times I feel like it is all I can do. My appetite is usually really big but at times it will almost diasappear completely. I self-harm whithout anyone knowing and sometimes I even contemplate killing mysef before I think of my little brother and sisters and what that would do to them. I have been trying to control my mood swings ever since I started looking into it, hoping that it wasn't bipolar or it was one of those cases that just needed self control but it has gotten worse and I didn't know how to deal with it anymore,it was scareing me. I told my parents and they put it off saying I was over-reactng. I don't know how they could think that since they saw me at one of my bad times hoding a knife to my wrists and when i couldn't I ran away before being caught. Why do creationists blame college proffesors?

I constantly hear creationists claiming that there is this conspiracy among scientists to destroy religion with the theory of evolution. I work for a bio-tech firm. I'm just a receptionist, but I have dated some of the guys who work there doing research. Bio-tech firms employ the majority of biology majors. These bio-tech firms pressure universities to keep creationism and intelligent design out of schools because they refuse to hire students who have been taught those things. Students are not going to go to schools if employers do not hire there graduates. So obviously, the universities don't want to graduate unemployable students. If there is a conspiracy, it's not among the universities, it's among the bio-tech firms hiring. So maybe you people should stop attacking the wrong people.

I've had a sinus infection going on three months. I kept putting off going to the doctor figuring it would clear up. Yet I was in such misery I finally broke down and went last Tuesday. He put me on prednisone and an antibiotic. Okay, so today is Sunday. I'm a little bit better but not much...still VERY congested. Nothing seems to work! I seriously am so sick of feeling sick and miserable...I feel like I've been sick forever with no end in sight...that I just want to bawl. This is day five of the antibiotic with another five days to go...I'm on 875 mg twice a day which I do realize is a mive dose. When am I going to get better? And if antibiotics don't help, I don't know what other options I have, I've already had this a long time and I'm getting desperate.

Gamestop 360 controllers?

So i just bought a gamestop controller for my 360, i didnt have enough money for a regular controller. But everything works fine, execpt the X and B ons seem to be the same on. For example, im playing ninja gaiden 2, and X is quick attk and B is projectile, once i start to attk by pressing X, i get two hits in then i would fire a projectile for no reason. Same thing happens to SF4, i specifially put short Kick to B and yet i get small punch which is the X on. can i fix this?

Betta sick?!?

Soooo my poor betta fish is sick i think. i had to transport him from my school to my home (it was about an hour long drive) and since then he just hasn't been himself. it might be the water here. he sits at the bottom with his face in the rocks (like...buried underneath the rocks) and wont move at ALL. he'll come up for air, and then drift back down. he hasnt eaten in days (i think he stopped eating a couple days before the trip). i give him a bettafix remedy thing (trying to keep fin rot at bay) and pellets (although he doesnt eat them). help! please! would a water purifier work? or can i used distilled water? i really dont know whats wrong with him. i dont think hes constipated...i fed him half a pea before he stopped eating..maybe that was bad? i read it helped constipation, and before that he had been floating at the top uncontrollably.

Looks like you have done a lot of research. Honestly it looks that you will make more use with a PS3 than you would with a Xbox 360. PS3's Playstation Network is improving rapidly as time goes on matching Xbox LIVE in many ways and is continuing to get new players (about 14 million LIVE subscribers and about 12 million Playstation Network players). Also it looks like you want games that are only on the Playstation 3, this will benefit you since most multiplatform games also released for the PS3. The Playstation 3 is a good multimedia system that allows for you to watch videos (DivX files and Blu-ray movies), listen to music, and view photos much easier than the Xbox 360. If more of your friends play the PS3 than its a more better reason to get it; if they have a Xbox 360 and you don't want to feel left out, then you should get the Xbox 360 (at the cost of $50 a year for LIVE subscription). If your used to the PS2's Dualshock 2 controller, then there's no difference between the PS3's Sixaxis (discontinued) and Dualshock 3 controllers to the Dualshock 2 (besides the R2 and L2 ons, they are also better to play a wide variety of games with). The Xbox 360 is cheaper because it wasn't made with real quality parts and was designed with a fatal flaw (noticed by RROD, which will never be completely corrected) which lead to high failure rates (also why I don't have a Xbox 360 even now). It's worth the extra fun and features for a PS3 and for console that will be reliable. In the end its your money and the decision is ultimately down to you.

I feel very sorry and agitated at the same time, for the people that follow a faith blindly. They will not open their mind to just read information that contradicts their own. They will fight tooth and nail for their position, without ever researching utilizing a bias approach. If its so bad to read a contradicting view, why is it? I know that it is our responsablility to research if what we hold true, is true. It may be they are scared of what they find, or in denial, or just don't have the intellect to read and gather information on their own. But I feel very sorry for them. God tells us to pray for those we feel are blind to his love...to the truth. I'm going to do that, seriously, I'm going to do that. I just wish some would look at the overall view of what they believe in, where they got the information and how their religion has acted in the past. I have been with this young lady for almost 4 years now, I watch her children every day while she is at work and in the mornings while their mother sleeps. The reason I can do this is we were involved in a head on collision to which I laid my life on the line to save hers. If I did not turn toward the person who hit us, she would have been killed. Still her family persists in criticizing her about who I am even though I have helped them out quite a bit. The only person that seems to give me any respect is her father. They make her cry because they leave her and her children out of family events, presumably because of me. I have never seen the likes of how these people treat their own.
