Who will hire me for having a misdameanor on my record?

i have a misdameanor it happened oct 2004 well now it is 2010 i have not had any more problems or anything etc i dont do drugs i dont drink alcohol or anything but as everyone knows the economy is still in bad shape i have been unemplyed since the beginning of september it is now february i still dont have a job i had 2 interviews this week well come to find out they refuse to hire me because of my misdameanor i have asked a police officer how do i get it off my record gotta get a lawyer well i dont have money for a lawyer and they said because i pleaded guilty i will loose in court i need a job so what companys would hire me when i was denied being hired i was not going to bve working in the dept that my misdameanor is in my misdameanor was for selling alcohol to a minor it was an undercover cop sting i am running out of op[tion i feel lik i will never get a job and everyone is telling me dont give up but right at this point of tikme where i feel like just giving up on looking for a job but i know that is not the answer
