NOR's veterans preference not collected?

Not to worry, this is just an acknowledgement that your application was received. They haven't even looked at your qualifications yet, nor have they adjudicated your veteran's preference. After they review your application, you will get another letter telling you whether you are eligible (EL) or not for the various grades for which you applied, so you might see GS-5 EL, GS-6 ID, GS-7 ID, which would mean that you are qualifed for GS-5, but that you lack the required experience and/or education for the GS-6 and 7. Then you'll get a third notice telling you whether you were referred or not, because not everyone who is qualified is referred, although if you are have vet pref, it's likely that you will be. After that, you just wait to hear from the hiring official. Good luck!
