Ever since Constantine, why did Christianity diverged from it's purpose to spread love.....?

And became an evil, dystopian MEGACORPORATION that swindles and brainwashes people using a "drug" (God) which they believe to have created the universe, manipulates the emotions of the human being by using Jesus as a mascot, and scares or controls the people using eternal punishment by immolation, not to mention it is the only major religion that is against Science and loves digress?
