Does my landlord have grounds to evict me?

It would take him more time than just until the end of July to evict you from the home. So just do as you were planning. You paid your July rent, now move out by the last day in July. Once you move, send him a certified/restricted delivery letter advising him of your new mailing address where he can return your security deposit, and keep a record of the delivery receipt. You have basically followed the rules. He is just being a jerk. You will not be kicked out anytime within the next three weeks, as it takes longer than that for an eviction to make it through the court process. Move out by the end of the month, send the letter with your new address, and don't worry. :)
