Replacement for diet coke and mentos?

okay..so my mom wont buy me and my friend mentos for our project......sooo....i was wondering if theres a replacemtn and no...we dnot wnat ot use vinegar and baking soda..because its not as big!! we dont mind usin diet coke...anything replaceable for mentos?? with still a big explosion
