No insurance and I think I have....?

bronchitis. Is there any way to get rid of it and avoid going to the doctor? I don't want to end up in the hospital if i don't go but I'm really dreading having to pay a doctors bill. Any over the counter stuff that will help clear it up. And how long should I wait before seeing a doctor if it doesn't clear up?
