LOS FUNERALES DE LA MAMA GRANDE?

If anyone read the book by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, what is the story "La Viuda de Montiel" about? I know that viuda means widow, but it's hard for me to translate the Spanish, since it was written in Colombia.
