Bringing a computer into another country?

Is it possible for me to bring in an used Apple computer from Canada to Venezuela through the United States (this means that I'm packing the computer in my luggage, and I will transfer planes in the US). Will there be any problems while going through the States with my computer in my check-in luggage?
