Should I have broken up with him?

He seems like a good guy. He learned his lesson, and he did the right thing by apologizing to you, not talking to her anymore, making a promise, etc. I also think you did the right thing by eventually staying with him. He seems like the type that deserves a second chance. If it's still really, really bothering you, maybe talk to him about it to try to get it off your chest. I remember my boyfriend took a break in our relationship and it hurt me so bad. Probably the worst feeling of my life, since he was talking to my friend and the things he was saying to her about me not only hurt me but gave me the idea that it was going to be over. (He wasn't flirting with her, but he just said some things that made it seem like he really didn't want me.) So I was sobbing and shaking uncontrollably, eventually vomiting on my basement floor. I still think about that night everyday, and it kills me. That was back in July, by the way. But I know that I just have to let go of the past and keep my mind in the present, since I'm still with that guy today. (The next day he realized he really did still want me. Ugh, stupid boys.)
